| DPS Modern Indian School Alumnus Jeeva Jijo has
successfully completed her 20 days Internship cum On the Job Training
(OJT) as part of the curriculum of her fourth semester, BA Communicative
English, prescribed by the Mahatma Gandhi University in our school
campus from 5th November (Sunday) to 30th November (Thursday) 2017, in
the school campus. |

| This "Teaching Internship Programme" is an initiative
by the school which assists the alumni to pay back to their institution.
She taught English in Class VI using an array of activities and teaching
aids needed for teaching the given lessons covering the panned syllabus.
She helped the students in recapping the assignment along with
worksheet. She also used audio visual aids in the classroom to explain
the lesson "The prize of freedom" that helped in learning the lesson in
an even easier way. The children enjoyed her classes immensely. |
| After the month long experience, Jeeva said that not
only did she have a wonderful time but also learnt a lot. This has given
her an opportunity to consider the teaching profession as a future
career prospective. |
