DPS-MIS Participated in the Cultural Programme Organized by Indian Embassy to mark the 71st Republic Day of India
DPS-MIS joined in the celebration of the 71st Republic Day of India organized by the Embassy of India at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort and Convention Hotel on 28th January 2020. The occasion was graced by H.E. Yousef bin Mohamed al-Othman Fakhro, Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, H.E. Mr.P. Kumaran, Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar, Ambassador Ibrahim Yousif Abdullah Fakhro, Director of the Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, H.E. Ali Ibrahim Ahmed, Ambassador of Eritrea to Qatar and Dean of Diplomatic Corps, diplomats representing a number of nations and other dignitaries.
The occasion was marked by a cultural programme. It commenced with the national anthems of Qatar and India. DPS-MIS students steered the mega event through with élan and confidence. The energetic dancers presented folk dances of different states of India and added to the resplendence of the program with their fine, graceful, lithe movements.
Altogether, the grand and colourful event was a celebration of India’s vivid and rich cultural heritage. DPS- MIS students shared the stage with the students of Shantiniketan Indian School.
