The DPSS is recognized throughout the academic world for its progressive approach and commitment to excellence. Distinction and diversity are the twin hallmarks of its philosophy, educational leadership and scholarly achievement its mission. Strong in tradition, it has evolved, since its establishment and its present day status, into a 'matrix' of networking between the state, national and international educational development.

Amidst the burgeoning public school system since India's independence in 1947, the DPSS came into being as a non-profit making body. It established its first school in 1949 at Mathura Road, New Delhi. Today DPSS has become an educational organization to be reckoned with, professing to be a premier centre for teaching, learning, innovation and research. It is today, reputed for its progressive approach, commitment and a well-designed integrated curriculum for pursuit of excellence. DPSS promotes the growth of mind and body through quality education; an objective that is reflected in its motto 'Service Before Self'.

In the light of consistent success, the Society received requests to set up similar schools abroad and make them a part of the larger infrastructure. Crossing the 100th milestone, DPSS has established a chain of schools in India and abroad. Under the constant encouragement and creative guidance of the Management of DPSS, we have come a long way in spreading the DPS banner across international borders to other countries like Nepal, Indonesia, Kuwait, Dubai, Sharjah, Doha, Baharain, Riyadh, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, Dhaka, Singapore .

Many factors have played a vital role in the creation of this epitome of quality education - The vision and foresight of the pioneers, the total involvement and professional interest of the serving Board of Directors, the appointment of outstanding Principals to steer each school in the right direction, and the committed faculty. These characteristics have placed the DPS Society on the forefront of the educational map of India and abroad.

While valuing its illustrious history, DPPS is constantly innovating, developing and implementing the finest education possible for our students.

A Holistic approach to Education

For almost five decades, the Society has developed with a spirit and a vision. Today its stands as a 'citadel of learning', and a harbinger of 'Quality Consciousness' committed to developing the minds and initiative of children. The vitality of the classrooms, the energy of the playing fields and the open friendliness of the work environment, have enabled its students to reach their fullest potential whether it is securing distinctions in the Board examinations or winning accolades in drama, debates, quizzes or sporting activities. The special character of the DPS Society has shaped the destinies of each individual entering its folds.
