With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the
students, an Inter-House Dance Competition was held by the Junior wing
of DPS-MIS for the classes III to V in the month of May. The competition
was conducted in two categories: Solo and Group. The theme for the group
dance was “Indian Folk Dances’. Each House was given a choice to choose
one region: East, West, North and South. The dance teachers put in their
heart and soul in training the young talents and bringing out the best
in them. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their
energetic performances. The fun filled extravaganza offered folk dance
forms from the four basic regions of India. The solo dancers enthralled
everyone with their different style of dance performances like
classical, semi classical and western and the audience appreciated them
with their unceasing applause. Principal Ms. Asna Nafees and Vice
Principal Ms. G. Mala encouraged the students by their presence. The
judges were professional dance teachers Ms. Mini and Ms. Meera. It was
an entertaining and a competitive event which was thoroughly enjoyed by
all. |
