Sarthak Modi, an alumnus from the batch 2020 returned
to his alma mater on 26th March via the AlumniTalk. The alumnus took a
motivating and inspiring session on ‘Crunching the Numbers on
Internships’. In this session held via zoom, Sarthak shared his
experience in internships with the students of his alma mater.
Currently working on his degree in mechanical engineering at the Nanyang
Technological University, Singapore, he has endowed his portfolio with a
colourful array of accomplishments as an intern. |

Apprenticing as a research and machine intellection
intern, Sarthak has never missed a chance in exploring internship
options. He has held the post of vice president of IEEE NTU student
branch and was formerly the business officer in the same body. |

Sarthak walked the listeners through his journey
interning at 6 different companies over the last two years and all the
lessons he took away from each of them. He filled the students in on the
application process, the probability of getting the internship, as well
as the benefits of applying for internship posts. He shared a few
time management tips and let the students in on how to gain the maximum
chance of attaining the desired programs. |
The meeting was graced by the vice principal Ms. Soma
Bhatacharjee and came to an end with a question and answer session. The
students inquired about the interview process, cleared all their doubts
on the topic and learnt to utilize every opportunity that comes their
way to the fullest. |
