Get in touch with the surroundings using Sense Organs

The connection between the human being and the external objects is the sense organs. Eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin – explore the five senses to know about the surroundings.

Students of grade II participated in an exciting and interactive activity - usage of any one or more sense organs to identify the object or situation. Various activities like the ’blindfold activity’, ’guess what’, ‘guess who’, ‘guess the flavor or fragrance’ etc. were performed in the classroom. The blindfold activity helped them to identify the different objects either by touching, hearing, feeling or tasting them. The students were asked to sniff the flavor of their breakfast/tiffin and identify the food item. They were divided into 2 groups and played games such as ‘Guess Who?’ and ‘Guess what?’ The kids participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyed all the games. The activities were successful in imparting knowledge about the sense organs and their use.
