A mother’s love is patient and forgiving, when all others are forsaking......

“The bond between mothers and children is one defined by love. As the mother’s prayers for her children are unending, so are the wisdom, grace and strength they provide to their children".

The Tiny Tots of DPS-MIS conducted a special assembly to celebrate Mother’s Day on June 23, 2013 with great fervor to express their love and gratitude towards their mothers. The occasion was graced by Ms. Kausar Hassan Chougule, proud mothers and the loving kids.

The programme began with the floral welcome given to all the mothers dressed in green by the Nursery students. It was followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Ms.Maheen (Nursery-A) and an English Prayer by Ms.Gracelynn Simona (Nursery-F).The esteemed guests along with all the mothers who are an embodiment of love and sacrifice were welcomed by Master Aiden Mendoca (Nursery-A). The Nursery choir presented a beautiful song.

A beautiful film ‘A Tribute to Mothers’ composed by Ms. Dipti Dixit and Ms. Nethrali, was showcased to recognize the contribution of a mother whose kindness knows no bounds , who understands what is never said , who actually lives the fears, doubts and pains of the child and strengthens him to face all the odds of the life.

Addressing the gathering, Vice Principal, Ms.G.Mala, welcomed all present there and said, ‘Mother is the one that bears the sweetest name and adds luster to the same. She shares our joy and cheers us when we are sad. She is our greatest friend whose place no one can take.’

Principal, Ms.Asna Nafees, congratulated all the mothers present there and wished them Happy Mother’s Day. She stressed on the important role a mother plays in the life of a child to mould him or her into a responsible and successful person. She also shared her childhood experiences with the audience.

The function was flavored with amazing dance performances on the theme of Mother Nature. The highlight of the day was the recitation of short poems in different languages about mothers by the students.

The Vote of thanks was proposed by the Headmistress –Activities Ms.Mou Bera. All the mothers were deeply touched by this occasion of their special bonding: the smiles only stretched as the sentiments surfed. As a sign of gratitude, mothers were given mementos specially made by their children. The program was anchored and co-ordinated by Ms.Najla .
