Every child is a gift of nature,
Give them their today,
Give them time to play,
and make way for their future
Children's day, a day marking childhood was celebrated with gaiety and fervour by the students of class Preparatory at DPS-Modern Indian School on 14th November, 2018. This day is all about respecting and honouring children who are the future of the nation.
Teacher briefed to the children that this day is celebrated as a mark of respect for our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, for his love and affection for children. Children arrived at school, in a beach themed colourful dress and were full of excitement. The colourful garlands and smiley caps added to the zeal. Venue too was decorated depicting the beach theme. The school campus was buzzing with excitement and joy as the beautifully dressed-up children participated in various games and activities like making sand castle, hitting the target, jumping into water pool etc. Giggles and laughter filled the air and the young ones were full of stories about their special day at school. They also enjoyed children's day colouring sheet.
Overall it was a fun filled day for the kids. They went back home with happy memories of the day along with chocolates, distributed by the school.
