| In the words of the esteemed Secretary-General of the United
Nations, “Our world faces many grave challenges: Widening conflicts and
inequality. Extreme weather and deadly intolerance. Security threats -
including nuclear weapons. We have the tools and wealth to overcome
these challenges. All we need is the will.” This quote is an everlasting
reminder that we are responsible for our fates and it is up to us to
take the necessary action to build a peaceful society. In light of this
thought, the DPSMUN Qatar 2022 Conference was held on 9th and 10th
February. The theme for this event, Preservation, Persistence and Peace,
promoted this very thought by encouraging fruitful discussions,
increasing solidarity amongst the youth, and raising awareness on issues
outside the immediate bubble of being. |
