The Dazzling Stars of DPS-Modern Indian School in Doha, Qatar, made a clean sweep at Qatar Debate National Championship earning the esteemed title of ‘League Champions’ across four categories

DPS Modern Indian School Debaters once again proved their mettle in the world of debating by achieving remarkable success in the Qatar Debate Season 2023-2024. The school's debate team has garnered several prestigious titles, demonstrating their exceptional skills and dedication. School teams participated in two categories Qatar School Debate League Championship and Qatar Preparatory School Debate League Championship for both boys and girls, which continued throughout the year. The exceptional performance of students through the Leagues enabled DPS-MIS teams to qualify for the National Championship. DPS Modern Indian School secured multiple titles, further establishing their dominance in the competitive debating arena.
To begin with, Senior Boys triumphed in the Qatar Schools National Debating Championship on 8th May 2024 at the Awsaj Academy. Team Krish Nagrani, Mehull Girdhar and Daiwik Dhar, were declared National Champions. Team Abhimanyu Gupta, Aryan Dubey and Aritra Ghosh bagged the ‘National Open Runners Up’ title. Krish Nagrani was declared the best National Speaker.
DPS Modern Indian School senior boys won all 16 round in the Leagues and stood victorious as ‘League Champions’.
The Senior Girls from DPS Modern Indian School also dominated the debating circuit, winning the Qatar School Debate League Champions title for the third consecutive year.
This is not all, Junior Girls team clinched the ‘National Runner Up’ title and yet again DPS Modern Indian School was declared as the ‘League Champions’ on 14th May 2024 at Multaqa–Education City. The team consisting of Aliza Sajjad, Srinithi Vijay and Hirannya Kumaresan, achieved this feat after a series of challenging rounds.
DPS MIS emerged as the Qatar Preparatory School Debate League Champions (Boys) 2023-2024 on 16th May 2024 at Multaqa – Education City. Team Aaryan Sujith, Amir Nawaz Razvi and Jacob Thoppil secured the National Runner-Up Trophy. In the individual category, Aaryan Sujith won emerges as the Best Speaker.
DPS-MIS teams highlighted their debating prowess by securing Four trophies in League Championship, one National Championship trophy and achieved runner-up positions in three national categories. These accomplishments reflect the students' strong argumentative abilities and consistent performance. The achievements of DPS Modern Indian School at the Qatar Debate Season 2023-2024 are a testament to the hard work and dedication of both the students and their mentors. The competition gave young debaters an opportunity to explore contemporary and future issues in the fields of technology, bioethics, international relations, and social equity. The school continues to foster a culture of excellence and critical thinking, preparing its students to excel in academic and extracurricular activities.
