| DPS Modern Indian School hosted the Silver Jubilee Edition of DPS-DQ
MUN’25 themed ‘Peace through Technology’ from 25 to 27 September 2025, a
landmark event draped in the radiant silver splendour of its 25-year
celebrations that brought together young minds in a dynamic forum of
dialogue, diplomacy, and decision-making. With the participation of
around 245 delegates from Indian and international schools across Qatar,
the conference was a confluence of intellectual rigor and global
camaraderie. |

| Day -1 |
| The first day of DPS-DQ MUN commenced with an atmosphere of
excitement and anticipation as delegates, executives, and faculty
gathered for the grand opening ceremony. The event began with a soulful
musical performance by students of DPS-Modern Indian School, setting an
inspiring and uplifting tone for the conference. This was followed by
the flag ceremony, a dignified tribute to the ideals of unity and
diplomacy, where national flags, the UN flag, and the school’s flag were
honoured with pride and reverence, symbolizing the spirit of
collaboration and respect that defines the MUN. |

| The ceremony featured distinguished addresses from the guests of
honour. Mr. Yasir Nainar, President of the School, commended the efforts
of students and staff in organizing such a prestigious event,
emphasizing the role of MUN in shaping future leaders. The keynote
address was delivered by Mr. Sakib Mahmoud, THIMUN Event Specialist,
whose insightful words highlighted the significance of diplomacy,
dialogue, and youth participation in addressing global challenges. |

| Following the inauguration, the committee sessions commenced with
enthusiasm. Delegates confidently presented their dynamic opening
speeches, quickly becoming comfortable with the debate process and their
fellow participants. The energy, engagement, and intellectual curiosity
displayed on the very first day promised a stimulating and impactful
conference ahead, marking a memorable and inspiring start to DPS-DQ MUN. |

| The second day of DPS-DQ MUN witnessed engaging deliberations and
impactful discussions, where delegates showcased confidence, clarity,
and collaboration in addressing global concerns. The committees
reflected excellent research, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills,
with productive sessions highlighting the spirit of teamwork and
constructive debate. The presence of participating schools and their
officials further enriched the sessions, fostering inter-school
collaboration and mutual learning. The day concluded on a successful
note, setting the stage for an inspiring finale. |

| DAY-3 |
| The final day of DPS-DQ MUN 2024 was marked by intense debate and
the culmination of three days of preparation and collaboration. The nine
committees carried forward the conference’s core theme of Peace Through
Technology, tackling pressing issues with creativity, diplomacy, and
determination. Each committee worked through two detailed agenda items,
with delegates demonstrating strong research, negotiation skills, and a
genuine commitment to finding solutions. |

| In the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), debates on “ensuring
peace and institution recovery in post-Sudan war” and “addressing
maritime security and regional stability in the Red Sea region”
highlighted the complexities of conflict and peacebuilding. The
Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) analysed
corruption networks and judicial safeguards, while United Nations Women
(UNW) empowered discussions on leadership and protections for women. |

| The General Assembly First Committee (GA-1) addressed cyberattacks
and biowarfare, whereas General Assembly Second Committee (GA-2)
explored biopiracy and responsible investments. The Human Rights Council
(UNHRC) debated AI surveillance and ethnic tensions, while the
Commission on Narcotic Drugs (UNCND) discussed drug trafficking and
militarization. The World Health Organization (WHO) tackled
antimicrobial resistance and AI-driven healthcare systems, and UN SDG-16
focused on displaced populations and justice under Taliban governance. |

| The final sessions were a testament to the delegates’ growth, as
they combined diplomacy and critical thinking to craft innovative
resolutions—making Day 3 a fitting conclusion to an exceptional
conference. |
| A special highlight of the conference was the visit of the
President, DPS-Modern Indian School, Mr. Yasir Nainar, whose presence in
the committees and interaction with the delegates served as a source of
inspiration, encouraging participants to embrace leadership with
conviction, integrity, and a spirit of global citizenship. |

| CLOSING CEREMONY |
| The conference concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony, bringing
to an end three days of stimulating debates, diplomacy, and dynamic
resolutions. The Chief Guest, , Mr. George Thomas, Vice President
DPS-Modern Indian School, pointed out that progress is only possible
through change, reminding delegates that adaptability, teamwork, and
openness of mind are essential for growth. Principal Ms. Asna Nafees
congratulated the organizing team and urged student delegates to use
their skills in diplomacy, debate, and advocacy to address global
challenges, from humanitarian crises to climate change. She highlighted
DPS Modern Indian School’s commitment to sustainable development,
including its recognition at the New York Green Schools Conference and
its pilot projects, encouraging students to foster innovation,
environmental stewardship, and positive societal change. Through a video
message, President, DPS-Modern Indian School, Mr. Yasir Nainar, shared
his valuable insight, applauded the delegates for their enthusiastic
participation and reflected on the school’s remarkable 25-year journey. |

| The ceremony featured reflections from student ambassadors and Head
Chairs of each committee before announcing the awardees, including the
“Best Delegate,” “Honourable Mentions,” and
“Best Improvement Award” for outstanding performance and
diplomatic acumen. Volunteers from the Art, Photography, and Technical
teams were felicitated with E- Certificates for their behind-the-scenes
contributions, while the Head of Admin extended heartfelt thanks for the
seamless execution of the event, and the “Best Admin Award” was
announced. |

| A specially curated newsletter and an engaging video montage were
unveiled, encapsulating the finest moments of the conference. The
President of the General Assembly, Aryaman Adhlakha , and the Deputy
Secretary General Daini Gong delivered speeches, highlighting key
moments of the conference. The Secretary-General Archit Baberwal offered
closing remarks, bringing the conference to a close. |

| A unique conference in its own, DPS-DQMUN is an educational
simulation that includes significant research, logical analysis,
communication and writing skills and leadership qualities, and allows
students to learn about diplomacy, foreign affairs, and the United
Nations. |
