| “Diplomacy is the art of building bridges where
walls once stood.” |

| The MUN, Democratic and Electoral Club successfully conducted its
training sessions for students of grades 9 to 12 from the 8th to
the 11th of September, 2025. |
| The event aimed to familiarize new club members with the workings of
Model United Nations and to refine the skills of returning delegates.
Over the course of four days, the program provided both theoretical and
practical exposure, ensuring that students were well-prepared to take on
the role of delegates in future conferences. |
|
|
| During the first three days, the club directors (Archit Babrewal
–XII C, Rushil Barve – XII A, Mohamed Hishaam – XI B, Arishta Singh – XI
B, Rebecca Sara Philips – XI A) led the training sessions guided by the
MUN coordinators. The training focused on the fundamentals of MUN.
Members were introduced to committee structures, the roles and
responsibilities of delegates, and the rules of procedure. Training also
included guidance on research methods, drafting position papers, and
delivering effective speeches. The sessions emphasized key qualities
such as confidence, diplomacy, and teamwork, which are essential for
excelling in MUN. |
|
|
| On the final day, 11th September, a mock MUN debate was organized to
allow members to put their training into practice. Chaired by the club
directors, the debate simulated a real MUN committee session where
students represented various countries and engaged in formal discussions
on a selected agenda. This exercise gave members valuable hands-on
experience, sharpened their public speaking skills and boosted their
confidence in preparation for upcoming conferences. |
