THE FIRST EVER ONLINE-ALUMNI MEET -2020

The 7th Alumni Meet of DPS Modern Indian was held on 13 August 2020 via the digital platform Zoom. The meet was the first-ever ‘Online Meet’ which too echoed the same ‘Never Forget your Roots’. Alumni around the globe showed their eagerness to connect with their Alma mater by signing up in the meeting along with school management, dignitaries and teachers.

ALUMINTALK: BEING A DOCTOR - 2020-21

DPS Modern Indian School organized an online Alumni Talk event with Dr. Faid Khopekar, who is the former student of DPS-MIS from the batch 2013-14, on 1st August 2020.

ALUMNUS ABHIPRAY SAHOO RENDERED AN INVALUABLE SERVICE TO HIS ALMA MATER - 2020-21

Abhipray Sahoo (Batch 2012), a Senior Embedded Algorithm Engineer from California joined his Alma Mater in an Interaction Programme “How Great Products Get Built” on 17th July 2020 at 7.00pm (Qatar Time) via zoom.

ALUMNI TALK WITH PREETHI ALLAMPALLI - 2020-21

Preethi Allampalli (Batch 2017 a management student in IIM, Indore returned to her Alma Mater on 19th July 2020 at 5.00 pm (Qatar Time) via zoom to address the aspiring students from X-XII on the topic “Breaking the Myth.”

ALUMNI TALK: CRICKET WITH YASHASWEE - 2020-21

Yashawee Raman from batch 2015-16 interacted with the students of VII and VIII in the session named Cricket with Yashaswee on 26th July, 5.00 pm (Qatar Time) via Zoom. The session commenced with a hearty welcome by the principal Ms Asna Nafees, vice principals Ms Soma Bhattacharjee and Ms Mary Cruz.

VATSAL PATEL ALUMUS 2014 BATCH INTERACTS VIRTUALLY ON ROBOTICS WITH CURRENT GRADE IX-XII STUDENTS - 2020-21

DPS Modern Indian School Alumni Association organised an Alumni Interaction Programme on 15th July 2020 when alumnus Vatsal Patel (Batch 2014) had a live interaction session. The event was attended by the Vice President Mr. Yasir Nainar , Principal Ms. Asna Nafees, Vice Principals Ms. Soma Bhattacharjee and Ms. Mary Cruz along with all coordinators and team of teachers. The participants of the programme were students from IX-XII.
After completing graduation and masters from the University of California, Berkeley, currently, Vatsal is pursuing his PhD at Yale University in mechanical engineering mainly focused on robotics.

THE 6TH ALUMNI MEET AT DPS-MIS 2019-20

The 6th Alumni Meet of DPS-MIS was held on 17th December, 2019 in the School Auditorium with the motto ‘Never Forget Your Roots’ to emphasize the beauty of school life. It was evident in the way the alumni reunited with their teachers and friends, and regaled each other with stories of the wonderful time at school.

DPS ALUMNI SANDRA INTERNS AT HER ALMA MATER - 2019-20

DPS Modern Indian School Alumnus Sandra Ramachandran (Batch 2018 of Class X) has successfully completed her 10 days Internship Programme from 16th- 27th April 2019, in the school campus. "The Teaching Internship Programme" is an initiative by the school which assists the alumni to pay back to their institution.

The 5th Alumni meet of DPS Indian Modern Indian School was held on 22nd December 2018. The wonderful event provided an opportunity for old students and teachers to reunite and reminisce their experiences.Around 150 students of reputed universities from abroad and India attended the meet along with school authorities and dignitaries. After the welcome speech by school head boy Rohit Chari, the event unfolded an array of fun-filled activities that enthralled the entire audience.

DPS-MIS ALMA MATER SARAH GULSHAN EDUCATES CURRENT STUDENTS ON MENTAL HEALTH

The desire to give back to her alma mater by sharing knowledge to shape the future of the current students Sarah Gulshan, batch 2016, currently pursuing her Second Year in BSc Psychology (Honours) in Christ University, Bangalore took a seminar on Clinical Psychology and its importance on 27th May 2018.

ALUMNUS KEVIN JOSEPH PAYS BACK TO HIS ALMA MATER - 2017

DPS-Modern Indian School provides a platform to its alumni through "Teaching Internship Programme" which assists them in rendering service to their alma mater and help them to be a source of inspiration. Kevin Joseph (an alumnus- Batch 2016), who is presently pursuing his graduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Chennai, completed his week-long "Teaching Internship Programme" from 19th to 27th December 2017 at the school.

INTERNSHIP CUM ON THE JOB TRAINING - 2017-18

DPS Modern Indian School Alumnus Jeeva Jijo has successfully completed her 20 days Internship cum On the Job Training (OJT) as part of the curriculum of her fourth semester, BA Communicative English, prescribed by the Mahatma Gandhi University in our school campus from 5th November (Sunday) to 30th November (Thursday) 2017, in the school campus.

ALUMNUS GOVIND SUDHEER PAYS BACK TO HIS ALMA MATER - 2017

An ex-student of DPS-Modern Indian School, Govind Sudhir, who is currently studying Mechanical Engineering, completed his week long “Teaching Internship” programme from 18th to 22nd June 2017 at the school. The “Teaching Internship Programme” is an initiative by the school which assists the alumni to pay back to their institution.

The 4th Alumni Meet of DPS-Modern Indian School was held on December 28, 2017, in the school premises, providing a platform for old students and teachers to reunite and share their joy and experiences. Around 150 students from notable universities abroad and from India came to attend the event.

RAJ IS BACK TO KICK OFF DPS INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME - 2017

An ex-student of DPS-Modern Indian School, Raj Vardhan Singh, who is presently pursuing his graduate degree in Engineering, completed his week long “Teaching Internship” programme from 18th to 22nd June 2017 at the school. The “Teaching Internship Programme” is an initiative by the school which assists the alumni to pay back to their institution.

Alumnus Vatsal Patel enlightens current senior school children

Vatsal Patel, the Head Boy and school topper of Batch 2013, proved his love and loyalty to his alma mater when he contributed his time to enlighten the aspiring students of classes 11 and 12 on the admission procedures in the universities of the US. He is currently pursuing his undergraduate programme in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.

The video conference with Vatsal was an eye-opener about the US curriculum. A world of opportunities with the best faculty and resources, the universities let you pursue the subjects that interest you. Moreover, they let you get involved in clubs and organisations as your interests, schedule, and scholastic pursuits permit. His interaction threw light on the fact that scoring in the school exams is equally important as participating in extra-curricular activities.

Raj pays back to his Alma Mater

The best way to give back to your institution as an active member of its alumni, is by working there.

Rajvardhan Singh, our student of 2013 batch, came to DPS to teach English. This was organized by the Alumni Committee with the aim of encouraging and fostering the talent of teaching and providing an opportunity to interact with the current students.

Raj’s explanation of the reader, was a pleasure to listen to with perfectly structured sentences. All were impressed at how seamlessly he had explained the characters and the complexities. He captured the moral and the theme accurately. He conducted a small activity with a few simple props to make the lesson interactive and interesting. At the end of the lesson, he had an interactive question and answer session, tackled confidently and with poise.

The 3rd Alumni Meet was held on December 22, 2016, in DPS-Modern Indian School, providing an opportunity for old students and teachers to reunite. The event, which took place in the school premises, was attended by around 150 alumni who had flown down from India, UAE, Bahrain, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.

The evening officially began with a welcome note from the anchors Vinutha Ramodorai and Nikita Navneeth and was followed by a dance that had the crowd cheering. The Head Girl, Nayana Singh, graciously welcomed the alumni. A video montage with video clips and pictures from the past was then displayed evoking feelings of nostalgia in the audience. The students from grades 9, 10 and 11 entertained the alumni with their dances and songs.

Alumni Meet 2015

The First Alumni Meet of DPS Modern Indian School, was held on 15th January 2015 evening. The occasion was graced by approximately 40 Alumni ranging across various batches from various parts of the world along with 9 energetic 2014 alumnus virtually present all through with their video, audio and text messages.

		The 2nd Alumni meet of DPS-Modern Indian School was a huge success with approximately more than 120 old students attended the event. The event was held at DPS –Modern Indian School. Members of Management and Principal interacted with alumni. The members of alumni association were sworn in. Alumni from all over the world shared their experience with the current students of Grade XII .The Alumni association unveiled their future plan. The event closed on a happy note with dinner.
